01 / Progress & Consistency Tracking

Put the training week in context.

Open a client's calendar to see planned sessions alongside recorded completions. Review the agreed training days and the sessions that were actually due, then open a completed workout for its detail. A booking and its linked workout count as one training opportunity; attendance remains a separate record.

Consistency follows the accepted plan. Required sessions belong in the review; rest days, optional extras, cancelled sessions and approved exemptions are treated according to their recorded status. An agreed pause should be visible when you look back at that period.

02 / Progress & Consistency Tracking

Compare results that mean the same thing.

Go from a completed session to the relevant exercise and inspect prescribed targets beside recorded actuals. Review supported sets, reps, load and other available results, with the units and exercise context visible.

Comparable results need comparable conditions. A dumbbell load recorded per hand differs from a total load; a different exercise variation can change the meaning of the number. Follow a result back to its session before deciding what it suggests. A recorded improvement can support encouragement or a future adjustment without becoming a promise about physical outcomes.

03 / Progress & Consistency Tracking

Know when the record is incomplete.

Shared completed workouts and corrections update Mako automatically after successful sync. The source and last successful update give you context for what you are reviewing. A workout still waiting to upload in Beta Training has not yet become a confirmed shared result.

An incomplete record deserves an incomplete conclusion. When coverage is insufficient, consistency stays Unknown, with observed completions and the gaps visible. Missing updates do not become evidence that a client failed to train. This planned review is based on completed, permission-shared results after successful sync; it is not a live monitoring view.

Finish a review with a useful next step.

Mark a completed workout Reviewed after inspecting it. Add a comment to the session, exercise or set that prompted your feedback, or acknowledge a result worth celebrating. Your client can read the discussion and reply in Beta Training.

Reviewing leaves the client's results intact. If a later correction changes a reviewed session, the change is visible so you can reconsider your feedback. Use the record to ask a better question, agree a schedule change or prepare a future prescription. Each action should follow the client context you have.

A coaching example

A coaching example: the extra rep in Alex's session

Alex shares a completed goblet-squat session. With the same exercise, equipment and 20 kg load, the earlier session recorded eight reps in each of three sets. This session records eight, eight and nine. You open both results and check the surrounding prescription.

You comment on the final set: “Good work on the extra rep. How did that set feel?” Alex replies in Beta Training, giving you more context for the next block. A separate session is still awaiting sync, so you leave the week's consistency assessment Unknown. This example is illustrative.

Practical questions

A few things to know.

Can I watch a client's workout while it is happening?

The first release shares completed workouts after successful sync, with the client's permission. The planned review is not a live monitoring view of an unfinished workout. Your review begins with the completed record and any questions or discussion the client has chosen to share.

How is a completion percentage calculated?

It uses completed sessions from the same set of eligible required sessions that were due in the review period. The dates and counts matter. If sync coverage is incomplete, the percentage is Unknown; unknown sessions are not quietly removed or counted as failures.

Can a client correct a completed result?

Supported corrections update the recorded session after successful sync. A correction creates a revised record, and Mako shows when it changes a session you already reviewed. You can revisit the result and discussion without rewriting the original prescription.

Who decides whether training is shared?

The client chooses whether to share completed training and can revoke that permission. Assigned-plan logging remains included, and booking a session does not depend on workout-sharing consent. Your progress view follows the current permission for that coaching connection.
