For independent personal trainers and strength coaches

Coach the person between the sessions, too.

The next useful conversation often happens after a client leaves the gym. Mako Coach is being developed for independent trainers and strength coaches who want the accepted plan, shared results and next service decision in view. Explore the planned pilot for private, online and hybrid coaching.

One client relationship

Remember the agreement behind the program.

You may coach the same person in a private session on Monday and review their independent training later in the week. Keep that work connected to the goal, service agreement and conversations that give it meaning.

The planned Client CRM brings those details together with bookings and payments. Record the question you need to answer or the change you agreed to make. Keep your own preparation notes private, separate from the feedback your client sees. The aim is a record you can use when you have a few minutes between sessions.

A clear training block

Agree what the client will do next.

Build a supported program in Mako and offer a specific version through Beta Training. Your client reviews the exercises, instructions and expected work before accepting. Then agree the dates or recurring training days, including how the plan fits around coached sessions.

If equipment, availability or the goal changes, prepare a future update with a clear starting point. Completed workouts keep their original context. Review Workout Planning & Assignment to see the intended journey from program draft to accepted, scheduled work.

Training between appointments

Review what is shared before you check in.

In the planned Beta Training connection, clients record assigned workouts and choose to share completed results. After successful sync, you can review those results against the accepted plan and the same agreed period.

Check the freshness and coverage before interpreting a change. If the window is incomplete, consistency stays Unknown. You are seeing completed shared records, rather than watching a live workout. A missing log calls for context; it does not reveal why someone trained differently or whether they intend to stop coaching.

An illustrative hybrid week

Make the reply about the work in front of you.

Sam has one private strength session and two independent sessions planned for the week. After an independent workout, Sam asks about the next progression. You review the accepted prescription, the synced completed result and the question together, then write a specific reply.

At the private session, that conversation gives you a place to start. If the next block needs adjusting, agree it with Sam. If a pack is nearly used, discuss the next service separately. This is an illustrative workflow, not a claim that a message caused progress or secured a renewal.

Your coaching services

Keep the next appointment and paid period clear.

Private sessions, small-group bookings, session packs and ongoing coaching periods need clear rules. The planned service record keeps remaining credits, reserved appointments and payment status visible so you can discuss the next step without guessing what has already been paid for.

A booking-only client does not need to share Beta Training data. A pack purchase and a later credit redemption remain separate records, with no second proposed Mako payment fee when a credit is used. Review Booking & Scheduling and Session Packs & Coaching Memberships.

A practice you can inspect

See the records behind the week.

Dedicated Performance & Analytics is intended to bring training coverage, substantive coach replies, bookings and actual collections into a defined period. Open the records behind a number before changing your availability, service or follow-up.

Start the pilot discussion with the way you coach today, the fields your programs require and the client journey you want to test. Check actual support before moving existing programs or inviting your whole roster. The selected introductory offer is 7 days for $1 USD once activation is confirmed; monthly pricing remains proposed.

Practical questions

A few things to know.

Is this for online and hybrid coaching?

Those are intended pilot use cases. Confirm that the program formats, result fields, client logging and feedback you need are supported. The preview does not establish parity with every feature in a dedicated training platform.

Can I use it only for private sessions?

Discuss the booking, pack and payment workflow you need. The planned service journey is independent of workout-sharing permission, so prescribing remote training is not a condition of a client booking a session.
