Mako Coach help

Clear answers before you open a client.

Start with the practical questions: what a client needs, what a shared workout tells you and what the proposed fees include. These answers describe the planned coach experience. Availability and final billing terms must be confirmed before you activate the pilot.

Clients and services

Choose the right journey for the person.

A client who books a private appointment needs the service details, availability and booking rules. A client following an assigned training block also needs to review the plan and understand the Beta Training connection. Those are related journeys, but one should not silently enrol the client in the other.

Keep prospects, pending invitations and accepted service relationships distinct. Before inviting clients, confirm the pilot features you plan to use and the communication each client has agreed to receive.

Training and conversations

Check the context before taking action.

Review the accepted plan, agreed dates, completed shared results and latest successful sync together. If coverage is incomplete, consistency stays Unknown. Opening a client record is the start of a review, not proof that their question has been answered.

Use the comments and encouragement workflow to keep a substantive reply beside the work. Personal drafts stay under coach control. A saved message is not a sent or delivered message.

Bookings and money

Keep the records separate enough to trust.

A confirmed booking, an attended session, a redeemed credit and a collected payment tell you different things. Check the status that answers your question. A pack balance does not show that a new payment arrived today, and sending a renewal reminder does not confirm a paid renewal.

For the wider practice view, Performance & Analytics is intended to show dates, counts and coverage alongside those records. See Pricing for the proposed full cost model.

Practical questions

A few things to know.

Is the connected Mako Coach experience available now?

It is being prepared for the coach pilot. Request access to confirm scope and availability. The public preview does not itself create an account, take the $1 payment or activate a trial.

Do all my clients need Beta Training?

No. In the planned connection, Beta Training is for accepted training plans, assigned-workout logging and coaching replies. Clients who only book services can use the booking journey without agreeing to share workouts.

Does assigned training need a second paid Beta Training subscription?

Assigned-plan logging and coaching replies are intended to be included with the Mako coach plan. Optional consumer features would have separate, disclosed access rules. Confirm the included experience when your pilot access is offered.

Is the workout view live?

It is intended to update after completed, permission-shared workouts successfully sync. It does not show an unfinished workout as the client performs it. Check the latest successful sync before interpreting the record.

What does a missing workout mean?

A missing log alone does not establish that a workout was missed or explain why. Check the accepted schedule, sharing permission and sync coverage. Incomplete coverage leaves consistency Unknown.

Can a client stop sharing training?

Sharing is planned to be optional and revocable. Booking and payment access remain independent. The actual pilot must explain the controls and treatment of previously shared information before clients connect.

Does Mako send personal check-ins automatically?

You review and approve personal check-ins and encouragement in the planned workflow. Routine service notices may be configured separately where supported, with the appropriate preferences. Do not assume a draft or saved follow-up has been delivered.

Who would count as an active client?

The proposed definition counts a person once when they have an accepted, active service relationship, even with several programs or bookings. Prospects, pending invitations, demo and archived records, unactivated purchases and ended relationships are excluded. A pause excludes the person once effective only if no active delivery, future confirmed service or ongoing entitlement remains. Workout sharing and missing logs do not control the billing count.

What does the proposed 1% fee apply to?

Eligible service principal captured through Mako after discounts, excluding separately recorded tax and tips. Offline payments, failed or uncaptured payments, and your Mako software invoices are excluded. Payment-provider fees are extra. A pack is charged once on payment, with no second Mako fee on credit redemption; refunded eligible principal receives a proportional Mako fee reversal.

What would a month cost under the proposed model?

Up to 25 active clients would be $49 USD per month. With $3,000 in eligible captured service payments, the proposed 1% adds $30, making the Mako total $79. Payment-provider fees and applicable tax are additional. These are proposed prices, not confirmed live billing.

Can I try the seven-day offer?

The selected introductory offer is 7 days for $1 USD. Access is currently by enquiry. Confirm the start and end dates, monthly plan, cancellation method and applicable payment fees before accepting an activation offer.

Can I bring clients and pack balances across?

Start with a migration review. Contacts, permitted notes, upcoming appointments and reviewed balances are the intended scope, subject to source compatibility. Programs, history and payment mandates need separate checks.

I already use Mako. Where do I ask for help?

Use Contact us and identify your workspace, the page or record involved and what happened. Do not include passwords, full payment details or private client records. This coach preview does not change your existing agreement.
